Sudden stop of production Lea Co NM from multiple wells in T25S R35E SEC 1

I have a small acreage in this section but because of the section’s multiple wells I have enjoyed good revenue for many years. I just received the smallest check I ever received for a royalty payment. This drop from multiple thousands to pennies was without explanation from CoterraEnergyOperatingCO. who just took over from Franklin Mountain. Does anyone have info re what happened to cause production to go to zero?

Looks like there are multiple increased density permits all around you. It is typical to shut in producing wells within a mile or three while wells are being fracked in order to protect them. Hang tight and see what happens.

Hey Archie,

Not sure exactly which months of production you are referring to (as going to zero) and which wells. If it was me I would go look at the NMOCD production volumes for your wells and confirm that you are getting paid for the same volumes in your check for the month in question. NMOCD link to wells in below. I own a tiny bit in Sec 1, at least in the W2W2 (Some Green Light and Clincher wells). I didn’t see anything catastrophic going on with production in that section from May to July vols for Green Light or Vested or Clincher or Mission wells, but I only spot checked and maybe I missed something.

Sometimes the check will have temporary negative adjustments that lead one to believe that something has happened with the volumes. Sometimes it takes a bit for new operator to get system set up, but that’s probably not it as I’ve been getting paid by Coterra since June (April vols). So not sure whats up.
