Rare correction here. A power of attorney loses all authority once the principal (person who granted it) dies. After death you would be relying on authority as trustee of a trust or in the case of probate, as the personal representative of the estate. Check with your attorney. Also, keep in mind that unlike most states, Oklahoma does not require a DO.
