Has anyone had issues with the transfer from XTO to Hilcorp Energy? We are having trouble getting the revenue from our Winkler County, Texas production. We are at almost a year and we are over the minimum pay. Solutions and reason for the delay are very slow.
Hey Shirley,
If you haven’t heard from them in a year after transfer, there’s a chance that human error has intervened and the name associated before the transfer was not sent to its final or expected destination.
I also have XTO wells and I can agree that the communication with all gas companies in the Haynesworth/Shale area is lacking.
My last transfer was expected to be in the 6 months length of time, which is much shorter than yours. Mine also involved 2 other companies unrelated to XTO.
XTO/Exxon has their main office in Spring, Texas, so you might look up any different numbers or emails than what you have.
My last email to XTO was 2/18/26 and I’ve heard nothing yet. I’m guessing they’re having some problems in that area of business.
You can also check the County Clerk’s office to make sure it has been transferred over from one company to the next. If it hasn’t and it’s been the year in time as you say, I would be emailing every single soul at XTO/Exxon and complain. You can also complain at TRRC and they might be able to intervene somehow.
I absolutely know it’s frustrating. I’m sure most of us feel the same way about the lack of communication.
Best of luck to you
