Ok, to get royalties released to me being heir from Jones, got death and birth certificates and affidavit of heirship. Do I get the deed and/or title to mineral rights to get those funds released? Sorry, am an airhead. Thank you again, talked to those people and all ok.
You need to contact Jones and find out what they require. Each company is different. You are not an air head, just learning like the rest of us. You need to make sure that you file the affidavit of heirship in the counties where minerals are owned so Landmen can find you.
Generally, this will require a probate and a judicial determination. No need to travel to Oklahoma to get this done. See similar posts.
