Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Elizabeth,

unless your lease specifically says that they will share that sort of info with you, don’t count on it. You can get a lot of info from the Railroad Commission once the well begins producing. Many of the people online here can give you tips of how to find that. No info will be available until the well is online and completed though.

good luck

Wade,

Are you only talking about PSL acreage? Mine is T&P RR Block 57 T1 section 34.

We just leased 115 ac to Climarex in PSL 58 sec. 5 and they are looking at another 20 ac. sec. 10.

Kenneth – making sure of the spot: your PSL BLK 58, SECs 15 & 16 are located 11 miles NNW of Toyah. If correct, I feel comfortable stating that those sections lie outside the Package 1 divesture area on the map supplied in the offering package. Note: that map is the sole source of information on which I base this opinion. Hope this helps. Later – Buzz

Wade – in my guidance, I emphasized ‘outside the… divesture area on the map… in the offering brochure’. I do not have any ‘on the ground’ information. Thanks for sharing. Later – Buzz

Garland – would you care to mention the bonus, royalty, term? Any tidbit would help. TIA – Later – Buzz

Buzz I am unable to discern whether or not our sections 11&13 block C 9 PSL SURVEY…ARE Included or not and ourleases are up within days… Very Curious!! If you get a chance I would sure appreciate any help!! Thanks

Wade or Buzz, ( or anyone)

We are wondering if Block 58 Sec15-16 PSL are in the package that BHP are divesting?? I can’t tell by looking at the maps Buzz provided. It looks as if we are on the border of the area they are trying to or have already sold. We have a little over a year left on our lease. We also have been getting offers to SELL and each offer is getting higher in the $$$ amount.

Thanks for any info anyone has.

Thanks – Later – Buzz

William – PSL BLK C9 SECs 11 & 13, 9.3 miles east of Toyah are, likewise, outside the Package 1 divesture area on the map supplied in the offering package. Later – Buzz

Kenneth - don’t sell it. Cimarex is buying leases in PSL 58.

Susan - yes

Buzz - south of PSL 56 and 57 will be released from what i’ve been told. that puts 58 as being divested. 58 is being acquired by cimarex as fast as they can pick it up.

1500 nma, 1/4, 5 yr. with 1500nma at end of third yr.

Sorry Buzz that so many of us rely on you for your opinion. As our lease is with BHP, what do you mean “outside the package”? Does that mean they would be keeping the lease? Our rights are (Block 4 section 64, Abstract 1390 H&GN RR co/day jw, api 42-389-33400, permit # 743141) so what do you think? Not sure what of these numbers relate to PSL? Thanks again.

Will interested to see how popular the east central Culberson acreage is, as I have a couple of small tracts there that have never been leased.

Marian – I’m glad you posed the question. I went to the website I gave you below and noticed a NEW map that has been changed from the original posted 10-22-13:

What was then termed ‘PACKAGE 1’ covering southwestern and western Reeves and east-central Culberson has now been divided into 3 packages, labeled ‘DELAWARE PACKAGE’ 1, 2 & 3, covering, respectively, southwestern Reeves, western Reeves and east-central Culberson. Although the map outline of the Delaware Basin package(s) seems not to have changed, the advertised ‘Net Acres’ available for sale has decreased from 165,000 to 138,579.

The old ‘PACKAGE 2’ on the 10-22-13 post, covering 85,000 net acres in the northern Midland Basin is now designated ‘NORTH MIDLAND PACKAGE’ covering 88,905 ACRES. Later – Buzz

Thanks so much Buzz!!!

New question…We have received an offer to lease SHALLOW ONLY (down to 6,000 ft) $700 per nma, 20% royalty. We’re in A-581, Blk 56, Sec. 11 and 14. Looks like Chaparral has a couple of nice Cherry Canyon completions to the north. Is $700 per nma reasonable for SHALLOW rights? Appreciate any input. I think I have read all of the posts re Reeves, but do not recall ever seeing a shallow rights only offer. Seems like most of the interest is in the Wolfs: Springs, Camp and Bones. Special thanks to Buzz and Wade for sharing all of your knowledge.

Marian – by ‘outside the Package 1 divesture area’ I mean it’snot included in the mapped area BHP has offered for sale, see:

http://www.scotiawaterous.com/bhp_2013/overview.html

… and click on the map. Your A-1390 is also ‘outside the Package 1 divesture area’ shown on the map. Later – Buzz
