At the suggestion of Wade Caldwell …I am looking forward to following this group. No minerals in Reeves but always good to get additional information.
Has anyone recently leased in the general area of Block 58 Sections 15-16 Reeves County?? We have PSL and am curious what others are getting for bonuses.
Anyone else having trouble accessing this board from the email notice?
I can open the email, however it won’t let me click on the link to this board.

Thank you very much, Buzz & Clint! Looks like the gas well drilling is complete and further drilling is taking place for oil. Knowing the rrc website will be of great help for future tracking as well…really appreciate all the patience and help you give to us “rookies”.
Hello Elizabeth,
State Street 20-29 A Unit 1H/API 389-34971
Abstract 4442/Blk.57/Sec. 20
At the top of the approved drilling permit states that the well ‘Spud Date’(start drilling)was 3/29/2016.
http://webapps2.rrc.state.tx.us/EWA/drillingPermitDetailAction.do?m…
As of now I find no completion report or production data.
After completion, how long does the operator have to file the completion report with the RRC?
Thanks Wade.
Hoping they spud the 2 Manhattan 183 wells soon !!!
Mike
Looks like Elevation is really quiet right now…
My extended family and others own a minority interest in 4 sections. The majority of the mineral rights is owned by one of the major oil companies. My question is if we sign a lease with another company and the majority owner drills and hits oil, are they obligated to buy our lease from the third party and honor the terms of the lease? We would like to sign with the majority holder, but are being offered a lease with better terms and lease bonus by another company. Thanks for your help.
I have tried to use the rrc site with no luck. Anyone know anything about state street 20-29 A unit #1H? Liz
The company that has the majority of the leasehold (usually) will be the operator. If you have a small interest that is undivided and spread over the entire section, you should definitely pursue the best lease terms possible. Eventually your lease will end up in the land department of the operator anyways, so you might as well get the best terms possible.
Duncan, the operator would not be obligated to purchase the lease, but there would likely be a JOA between the leaseholders, and the operator of the well would be responsible for paying out royalties.
