Thanks Wolfcamp. Thatās what we suspected.
We have advertised on the marketplace site and are receiving a lot of interest.
Buzz & Tennisdaze, Yes the two wells are Barbee 72-1 and McAfee C17-21. We just have minerals in Section 21 Block C17. I knew that McAfee was part of the property acquired by Silverback and soon after their acquisition sent us a Division Order making the switch from BHP to Silverback. To date the well has not been abandoned and they requested an extension from RRC. There has been a lot of confusion starting with Keystone who has the lease when Petrohawk drilled the well, then BHP, and now Silverback. I will be calling Silverback and then Keystone to determine the status of the well as well as the lease. Donny
Does anyone have any info on producing wells on Section 30 and 32, Block 56, Township 3, T&P RR, Reeves County? My family and I have a lease with Cimarex that expires this month and are being told that there are producing wells on the property. We have not been informed of any wells. They were supposedly drilled in December 2015.
Can someone tell me the location of the following wells in Reeves County. The BB King 32 #2H and the State Muddy Waters 30 #2H. We are being told that they are on property where my family owns mineral rights but we have no knowledge of them. Our property description is Section 30, 32, 36, and 38, Block 56, Township 3 South, T&P Survey, Reeves County.
Thanks again Clint. One day I hope Iāll have the pleasure of buying you a drink and a steak for all of your help!

Also the approved permit for the Muddy Waters 30 well:
Thanks Duncan. Iāll accept. Someone had given you the wrong description of your minerals acreage. Now you got it right. From now on when asking to know about your minerals use the Abstract numbers. Itās much easier to find that way. If you need completion reports or production numbers on these wells, I will supply them for you, if they are available.
Iāll second that!! Linton
Thanks Clint
If I understand you correctly, the descriptions are close, but where our description is T&P Survey, the wells in question are PSL Survey, therefore not the same property.
Duncan,
Check the Abstract, Block and Section, and Survey on this approved drilling permit for the BB King well and you will see that I am right.
The motion has been put forth, seconded, and there has been no dissent. I believe we can wrap this up with a show of hands. All those in favor?
Aye!
Thank you Clint for the responseā¦this is my understanding too. So I will be tracking to see if a new permit happens in the next couple of years. At least they are close by. Also, I didnāt have to track anyone down this time to see where they were at with an extension or not. Iām thinking that the lease is ok as long as there is a lease happening. We have not seen the contract or check yetā¦they are coming shortly. We are in Nor Cal. The majority of my education has come from this Forumā¦so thank you all for your help!!

An interesting article on average well costs and sizes in our area. Bottom line - wells are getting bigger and cheaper rapidly.

Itās been a while since I have posted anything. I have looked back through March. I donāt see much mentioned about leases with BHP nor Silverback Exploration. We had our original lease with BHP with a 2-year extension that was to end this August. Silverback has just renewed for another 3 years. My mom did the deal and the terms were $666 per acre vs. the original $1,500. I did see a list of active wells from Buzz⦠2 with BHP, nothing about Silverback, so I am curious about this company. Anyone else dealing with them? The discussion with my mom was very encouraging in terms of a representative indicating they most likely will pursue the area in this time frame. There was an active permit during the original 3-year lease period; I have not seen anything since. Block 4, Section 61, Permit name Geltemeyer 4-61, API 389-33400 and 32849.
