Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Is the pipeline being repaired or the compression station having maintenance?

Clint Liles

the well is only about 6mo old ~

does anyone know why an oil company would quit selling the gas production from a well and start flaring it ? also anything that I might be able to do about it.

its costing me several thousand $ per month ~

went out to the well last week and saw gas being flaring, then saw my run check on line this week with a break down on the production pmts- the gas and plant products were the only drop ~

John, who is the operator?

the operator is resolute ~ steamworks well

There seems to be a growing interest in the geology of the Southern Delaware Basin. Have any ā€˜flies on the wall’ heard anything?

What are they finding?

Good Afternoon,

Has anyone heard of or is familiar with OGX Operating?

Thanks

This is great feedback. Appreciate everyone’s valuable input. I’ll keep everyone posted with what other offers we might get coming our way.

Hopefully Concho will be interested in the acreage that is just to their west, 25 miles or so southeast of Pecos…or others, for that matter.

Stephen, I’d like to say ā€œNuts!ā€ to CW but they have most of the area around us - but just as important (I think), they have the pipelines that are nearest us. In fact, they’ve been laying those pipelines aiming in our direction for a couple of years. We are not in the sweetest of spots and are not as hot as some other areas so I think that it’s going to end up being CW for us. Best wishes for those of you who are in hotter areas with more players though!

Michael, we have interests in Block 13, Section 185, a couple of miles to the NE of you. Our lease expires in January, so we are very interested in the going rates these days as well. Even though oil prices are way down, we would not lease/extend for $400 for even one year (if such a thing were possible), much less three years. But I’d be really interested to know what others have leased/extended for in our general area this year.

don’t take a penny less than $2500…we got that from J Cleo Thompson in January. A-2785

The heck with Clayton Williams! I’ve had a tract with him for four years in Blk 13. They are avoiding drilling and are anything but reasonable, IMHO. I will not release to them next year when our lease comes up.

THANK YOU, William!

Clayton Williams is offering us $400.00 Bonus for 3 years. This is actually an an extension offer from another lease offer ready to expire in August. This looks like a really low ball offer to us. I’m wondering if any of you know what bonus’s are being paid out in this area. I might just need to sit back for a while Any input would be greatly appreciated. Block 13/Sections 108 & 137 Reeves County

Stephen, my 3 year lease is up in October.

Michael, Clayton Wms. offered me $750/ac for my 20 acre interest in PSL, Blk C-7, Section 26. I laughed & told them I’d take $5,000/acre and that I didn’t like to top lease.

You are probably correct…but I felt the need to vent. Time will tell. I did notice a rig was just to the southeast of 300 recently, so hopefully a good result and some momentum.

CWEI is more prone to low ball offers, especially where they have a strong acreage position and no other bidders. This is not as common with other operators.
