Is anyone having trouble the last couple of days accessing the RRC Public GIS Map Viewer?

http://www.rrc.state.tx.us/data/online/gis/index.php

Maybe the site has changed… they are transitioning from the old site to the new soon?

Has anyone had any experience with Arris Petroleum out of Denver? I have some land guys out of Midland wanting to lease some of our acreage for Arris. They are a new company, and are trying to get some leases in our Block 4. They made a good offer, and good promises. I would really like to find any experience with them - good or bad.

Hey Garland – I got it… found in the right margin… New site:

We are at a situation that I would appreciate some off-line advice. Our family has about 400 acres available for lease in Blk. 4, sec. 59. We have had 2 companies bidding for the lease rights. They are both now in with the same bid, and same contract with requested changes. If anyone can offer any suggestions, please contact me at: tbeauch@aol.com. If possible, we might communicate by phone.

Lynn Wood - where are these CWEI wells that are producing 776boe 82% oil? Survey, block section #'s would be great. thanks

thomas - just sent you an email.

Wade:

I don’t know without digging into the RRC completion or production report by operator. Once I get a well number or lease number than location is easy to determine.

I was just posting what CWEI had released at the end of May

Correction to my last comment; Pradera interest is in Blk C-18, section 4.

Anyone heard of Pradera Energy. They have some interest in leasing in Blk C-198 section 4. Interested in any knowledge, good or bad.

Thanks,

Thomas, by reviewing the background of the principals of this privately backed company, it seems most have a former employment relationship with Great Western Oil and Gas Company. Here:

http://www.arrispetroleum.com/aboutUs

Note that two summers ago, Mr. Ridens had just taken on the CEO position at Great Western:

http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/news/2012/06/05/great-western-oil…

By February of last year, however, The Broe Group, which apparently backs Great Western, installed executives from Samson Oil and Gas after its sale, citing their growth track record as executives for that firm. See here:

http://www.enhancedonlinenews.com/portal/site/eon/permalink/?ndmVie…

The Broe Group is a private investment and management company, and its executives are listed here:

http://broe.com/executive-team/

Why did these executives form Arris? Why would Arris be better in the Permian versus the fields of Colorado and the Dakotas? Did Broe Group invest too much confidence in Samson’s outcomes? Does Arris’ team have past experience in the Permian, connections, etc.? Are they cash-flow capable? These seem like good questions.

Further back, see this piece:

Hope all goes well for you and yours.

Mike - thank your for the information. You have given me a lot of “meat to chew on.” This will help with my decision.

And in the mail today, an unsolicited offer to purchase a small tract we own in 54-5, 10 miles north west of Pecos at a price of $9k per acre. Thank you, but no thank you!

Thank you, Buzz. The strange thing is that the report is not quite 5 months old and already it looks somewhat outdated. The newer, more aggressive frac designs and newly announced Wolfcamp results in various regions of Reeves, make the county even more prospective and shiny.

Stephen – I agree on the timeliness… it lags noticeably. It was an updated report from Jan12…

… and they tend to carry-over some dated material. Very good maps and company areas of interest though. Later – Buzz
