May God bless you during this difficult time.

Buddy and Jackie,

Blessings to you both. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Bradley Apodaca

Jackie and Buddy,

I have traveled the road you are traveling myself, as well as, family members. The greatest thing of our Lord and Savior is his mercy and grace. He gets our attention in many ways and uses it to our advantage. His promise to us is to ask and we shall receive. So, from this day forward I too, will ask the Lord for your healing. I believe in miracles from our Lord as I have experienced them. One thing I have learned over time is the healing effect of music, the music in the note of C is suppose to be able to correct the dna to restore the damage in our cells. Don't know if that works or not, but, I suspect that David played that on his harp as he soothed Saul with his disability. I have the faith in our Lord for you and your family that you will see the glorious results of his mercy and grace to you.

I thank you Buddy for sharing with us, this information. I will add Jackie to as many prayer chains that I have and I do know lots of prayer warriors.

God Bless you and your family,

Louise Welch

Our prayers are with you and your wife. Don't give up. They are making more discoveries every day.

Consider my prayers in her direction and God be with both of you!

Both of you are in my prayers. I am a cancer survivor and faith and hope carried me through it all and continues to every day of my life. Stay strong and continue to believe !

Love, Pat

Dear Buddy and Jackie, I am a cancer survivor and would like to share some of the positive notes that helped me. You are definitely on the right track to pray and to ask for prayers. It is amazing the strength you receive as prayers are raised. Sometime, you even feel this and know that someone is praying for you now. Secondly, this is the time to focus on yourself Jackie and remove any negativity surrounding you. Focus on healing, God and what you can do to increase the chance to defeat cancer. This included nutritional information also. Chemo is not fun but I always felt that when I was sick, I was getting rid of the cancer cells in me. Silly sounding but it helped me. I guess I am trying to say, hang on to what works for you but more importantly hang onto God and your husband and family. Your support system is so important right now. Don't forget to laugh and cry. I always felt that tears cleansed my system too. I will add you to my prayer list and begin today to pray for you each day. Remember, you have cancer.....cancer does not have you! You may contact me anytime if you wish.

Together in Christ through Jesus powerful healing,

Linda Boerm in Live Oak County, TX

Buddy,

You and your family are a blessing to this forum. Thank you for your support over the years and God Bless as you fight this horrible monster.

We will be praying for you regularly.

R.T.

Dear Buddy and Jackie,

WE will pray for you both. When my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer seven years ago I became the full time prayer warrior and researcher. Purpose Driven Life (the book) helped us get through this..reading it one chapter per day, as is suggested. THere will be good days and bad days...because we're human. Sometimes the spouse has a tougher time emotionally. We will pray for peace, healing, wisdom for your medical team, and full recovery. We have had good results from our cancer experience...Thank the Lord.

Laura

Buddy & Jackie,

I only know you through this forum and I will pray that our Mighty God will lift you up, give you strength and peace, as you fight against this sickness. All things are possible through Jesus, our Lord & Savior. Trust & lean on him every day to get through whatever the devil throws at you. Dr.'s only treat - Jehovah Rapha - the Lord is our Healer. I pray that God shows himself daily in your life.

Mary

Buddy and Jackie,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Wishing you both the best through this process.

David

Dear Buddy and Jackie,

Hope the day is going great for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. Not just once in a while, but numerous times a day. Keep the faith.

Louise

Dear Everybody.

To bring you up to date. Jackie had her surgery on March 22nd. The surgery itself was successful. A grapefruit sized tumor was removed from her left ovary, along with 4 organs.

Two weeks later, her wound became infected and a second procedure was performed and strong antibotics were prescribed twice. We have nurses every day to change and re-pack her new wound. It seems to be getting better.

We will be going back to Houston on this upcoming Tuesday. If all is OK, a port will be inserted and chemotherapy will begin.

Whenever she becomes despondent, I read to her some of the well wishes from this post and the many e-mails that you have sent. ALSO, if you know of anybody going through something similar there are tons of short testimonials on cures from cancer survivors on youtube.com.

This past Thursday, I had a hairdresser come to the house and cut her hair short, in preparation for the chemotherapy. On Wednesday, we will get her wig fitted and ordered.

Her attitude is wonderful, 99% of the time. Her appetite has returned, which is good, because she has lost 50 lbs from the day before the surgery to now. She will need her strength for the fight ahead.

Saying a simple "thank you" does not in any way convey the depth and sincerity of my feels for each of you. Thank you. From the bottom of my being.

Dear Buddy,

I'm so glad to hear that she is winning her fight against the monster, cancer. I'm sure you being by her side all the way has a lot to do with her recovery. God is surely with her and you as you go through it. My prayers are only a small thing compared to all the support you are getting from this forum, but they still are there along with the rest. Please tell Jackie I'm praying for her. With you there with her and the support you get from the forum, ol' man cancer doesn't stand a chance. I won my fight with bladder cancer several years ago with prayer and support. You have so much of both here in this forum. God bless you and Jackie.

Your Amigo,

Wes

Dear Buddy and Jackie… The fight is rough though with all of the prayers you will feel strength and support. While your nutrition is a huge component from here on…I want to add this little tidbit.

When my very young neighbor was battling breast cancer at age 42, I would bake her cranberry scones every two weeks. The day after her chemo she told me it was the only thing she wanted to eat. :-). Buddy… You can just pick up one at Starbucks… But if you are a baker, I have a great recipe. God bless you! Laura

Buddy and Jackie,

Prayers continuing to come your way from our home

Dear Laura,

I like to bake. Most of my mistakes are edible.

Dear Buddy & Jackie,

Thank you for the update. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through each day. May God give you strength to fight the battle ahead. I pray that Jackie is healed!

Dear Jackie and Buddy,

I only recently learned of your challenging situation and I want to let you both know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers. There are many medical studies that demonstrate the power of an attitude of hope, positive thinking and community support...all of these factors can also be known by one word-prayer. From the response to Buddy's post, you can be assured that you can draw strength and hope from all of the people who are praying for you.

Keep up the good fight and draw comfort from your strong faith.

TO ALL:

Thank you for the e-mails, phone calls, well wishes, cards and caring gifts.

As of today, she has completed round 3 of her chemo. Her hair is gone, but her fight is there. As I mentioned, if she gets down, I keep reminding her of people all over the world who do not even know her who are praying for her recovery.

She has sores in her mouth, great fatigue and some bone pain. Most of the time, she feels ok, however the bounce back from the chemo is longer each time.

I have been asked for pictures of Jackie. This photo attached is of her and our oldest grandson last Thanksgiving. We have all the kids either Thanksgiving or Christmas. So much has changed in the months after this foto was taken. To see her in bed, looking so small and helpless is almost more than man can stand.

I love all of you for your support.

Buddy
