Payments rerouted to family members address instead of mine

I mineral interest in many different sections located in Pittsburg County Oklahoma, sections include 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,15,16,17,19,22,23,25,26,27,28,33,34,35 township 7 North Range16 East. as well as several in township 8 North Range16 East and
T3N-R15E, T4N-R15E, T6N-R15E. I’m currently receive only 1 royalty Revenue check from Trinity operating USG LLC. And it’s only a few hundred dollars or so. Can anyone tell me if that sounds correct?

I’m afraid this is unanswerable as written. There are certainly professionals in the business who can work with you on a paid basis to figure out what you own.

Even if you own in all thos sections (and I question that), one would have to know a) how much you own, b) what the royalty is under an oil and gas lease, and b) do a search of the records to determine what wells are producing in these sections. Even then, to be real accurate, one would have to figure out how much production is from the well(s) involved.

I own 2 different section in Pittsburg county Oklahoma since 1990 when my grandfather Alvis Eugene Browne warrenty deeded them to me. I have signed several different leases for Mead energy, trans Texas operating, W.O. Pettit, and scissortail energy. When I signed these oil and gas lease I wasn’t aware I was leasing anything to an operator. I was told by family members that it was something I needed to sign for my father’s estate so it could be finalized. Now years later I find out I actually signed leases and the address on the division orders are the family members that had me sign. I have never received any payments or sign on bonuses or anything ever. I don’t know how to find out how much money has been diverted to other people that should have came to me. The sections that I own and have clear total for are: section 28-7N-16E and 32-4N-15E located in Pittsburg County Oklahoma.

I can provide proof of ownership of the sections I’ve described.

Sounds like you need a lawyer to find out where it’s gone to. The Division Orders have that info and the NGI number that’s used with the production volume and the selling price of the product that calculates how much each well has generated. If you signed the DO and used their names and addresses, that’s where it’s going and you’ll probably have a hard time to convince a judge you signed them away under duress. Good luck

Start with the free answer. Contact the Division Order Analyst at the operators and ask them where the payments are going. If the addresses on the original DO were not you, then you can ask for a new Division Order with your correct name and address. Ask them for a copy of the title opinion paragraph that pertains to your ownership. They may need copies of your deeds, driver’s license and any probate documents that may give you more than the original deeds. Be aware that even if you have a deed, it is only good if the title was good that went with it.
