Oklahoma native american oil and gas

Does anyone on here have an Indian well controlled by the BIA? I have different properties that I’ve had decent royalties for several years but in February there was nothing. I suspect its a problem with the Dept. of the Interior Trust fund management but I could be wrong. Maybe the wells dried up? Wondering if anyone other Native Americans has had similar issues with being paid royalties from the DOI?

I have Tribal Land and I haven’t had any problems. Payments have been low but we have gotten several leases in the past 2 years.

If you want to list the name of the well and the section, township and range, the forum can help with whether the well is producing or not. If it is online, then you can contact the BIA/DOI.

If the wells are on Allotted Indian Land the payments usually go through the Office of Natural Resources Revenue and the BIA Trust System, which can sometimes delay Distributions.

It might be worth checking the ONRR Payment Detail Site or contacting the Operator to see if the well had Downtime or if Revenue is being held in Suspense.

Sometimes February Revenue just Posts a month late depending on the Operator Reporting Cycle.

Thank you. In March my roys were very nice so maybe it was a processing delay. More info will be revealed when I get my DOI roy statement.

Glad to hear March looked better. With DOI payments it’s pretty common for one month to lag depending on when the Operator reports Production. Hopefully the Statement clears it up.

Out of curiosity, are your Wells in Oklahoma or another State?

All in Oklahoma. Most in Caddo co.

Caddo County has had quite a bit of activity over the years. Do you know which operator your wells are with? Sometimes the operator reporting schedule can affect when the DOI payments show up.

Weather may have been an issue in January and February. See if thing level out in the next few months.
