New Operator, No Production, No More Royalties

Kitchen, you have been so incredibly helpful, but I feel like a bit of an idiot...lol I cannot find the correct contact to even call the La Salle Parish. The clerk of court that I called today told me they did not handle these matters and did not seem to know exactly who I should contact. This is incredibly frustrating.

My husband did call the operator (Forza/Tundra) directly today (got voicemail and left a message to contact us). We are not really all that hopeful that they will even return our call, so I plan on sending a certified letter in the next day or so. I also plan on contacting Plains Marketing again (they were much too quick to wash their hands of this). I guess I will have to take Lx's advice about contacting the Attorney General and the Consumer Protection Agency if I continue to get no information from these companies. The FTC is also an option that we are considering. Trying to get information has been fruitless so far, but I will persist. I just need to find out who to contact at the court, and I need to make sure that the operator does not ignore my requests for information. It is a shame that these things are so convoluted and difficult.

I also have one other quick question...

On the SONRIS system, under Organizational Red Flags, Forza has the following information:

Effective Date End Date Warning Status Warning Description

05/24/2013 06/18/2013 I ILLEGAL MOVEMENT

What does this mean? Thanks in advance!

RMG I am not sure about "Illegal Movement". I am really unfamiliar with Louisiana, although I am working on an income tax dispute for a family member involving the Louisiana Dept of Revenue at the moment (oh joy!).

Here is the best number I could locate online to call for getting a copy of the affidavit. (318) 992-2158.

In Texas if you send a certified letter to an operator, they have so many days to respond to your inquiry BY LAW. I am unfamiliar with Louisiana, but you might be better off contacting the Louisiana Office of Conservation. Specifically for the Illegal movement question, try contacting the Engineering - Regulatory Division. Ask them about what laws may apply (if any) for contacting an operator, and how long they have to respond.
