Needing Help with Minerals and Start up Drilling Activity in Austin County Texas

I live on FM 331 in Sealy. There was a large "water tanker" type truck drawing water in front of our property. We have a gas line that runs through our property and I was told by the gentlemen they were drilling a well just around the corner to prevent the gas line from corroding. Something about that didn't sound quite right. Does anyone know anything about that?

First, Good morning. Seeing someone else up this early.

I would call on Monday morning to the Texas Railroad Commission. They should be able to tell you about activity in the area

Thank you very much David. I am nearly always up at this time. My husband is deployed to the Middle East with the State Department, and there is a lot of work to do here.

Debra,

I'm fairly sure the man was truthful with you about preventing the gas line from corroding. Even on the bottom of boat motors you will find a special piece of metal that keep the lower unit housing from rusting. Here is a link about this situation.
