Name changes on land & mineral rights

I think what Kelly commented cleared a lot of my questions up. It is a Trust, not a will. I thought part of why a Trust was set up was to avoid probate. I’m not sure what “real” property is/means. I would like to thank everyone for commenting and helping me.

Dear John and Amy,

I stand corrected, and being a Real Estate Agent, I should stand corrected. Real property is land and any property (residential or commercial) that is attached directly to the land. Real property not only includes buildings and other structures, but also rights and interests, as in oil and gas and other minerals, if any, including water.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Good Luck,

Pat

Hi Pat: I agree with your comments to this discussion, but I have one question: Why did you write: This is for "real" property only.

Mineral estate is real estate, so why the "real"?
