Does anyone have knowledge of future drilling (probably Encino or EOG) in Carroll or Tuscarawas Counties, Ohio?
Welcome to the forum. You need to be more specific with your location. The counties have varied geology so leasing and permits are aimed at the best locations. Giving your township name and section is more useful when asking questions. Carroll gas 123 pending permits and Tuscarawas has 47. Multiple operators.
Sandy Township in Tuscarawas Ct and Rose Township in Carroll County.
Looks like there is one permit in the NW quarter of Sandy township OWS Acquisition back in 2023.
Two permits by Test Record near sec 11 and one in section 23 by Williams, a plugback. Rose Township Carroll County.
No horizontals in either. There are some in nearby townships.
Thank you! So to clarify, nothing in Rose Township ( Carroll County)?
I put an edit in. Forgot to put the Rose township with the permits.
Im wondering what the chances are of horizontals moving into my townships?
Time will tell… the play is still developing.
Its difficult to know what to do with inherited mineral rights as far as sell vs hold onto!
If I am getting offers, then the play is probably currently moving my way and I sit back and wait for leasing. If no offers, then I sit back and see what time and technology will bring. If the geology is bad, then I will not get much interest anyway. If the geology is good, then something usually turns up when the economics are right.
Thanks for all you help!
