Karnes County TX Oil & Gas Permits

Good morning. July 2017, Marathon applied for permit in Karnes County, Karnes City called NE 2H and NE 502H. I have asked several times if these had been drilled and producing, with answer being they had not received division orders yet. Could someone please answer this question for me.

Good Morning Karen… At this time I see a spud report (begin drilling) for Karnes City NE 2H as of 10/30/2017.

And spud report for Karnes City NE 502H as of 11/01/2017. No completion report or production reports at this time for either well.

Thank you Clint. Is this unusual for so long a period?

I used to get information on permits and completions in the Victoria Advocate, but their current reporting is incomplete. Is there a site I can go to to review drilling permits for Karnes County since July last year?

Karen, it’s impossible to figure out these oil companies and what they are up to. Use this link to pull up drilling permits… Karnes County is RR Commission District 2.
