My wife and her brothers just inherited an interest in a lease in Eastland County which had two wells on it in the Marble Falls field. The wells have been out of production since 2012 but according to the production company, the wells have not been plugged and abandoned. Does this mean that they are still HBP or are they otherwise restricted? Related to that are there any deeper potential formations in the area worth future consideration in a different economic climate? Can anyone help?
