Interesting article analyzing the Colorado spacing proposition vote that failed in 2018. Basically, only the precincts where there is little or no oil and gas activity were strongly in favor of curtailing drilling. In other words, the less you have first hand knowledge about how modern drilling works, the more likely you are to be in favor of banning fracing.

XCEL Energy has completed their big 240 mile electric transmission line to link the Texas Panhandle and SE New Mexico. This is big news for operators trying to electrify operations.
Gas exports to Mexico predicted to rise with completion of additional pipe networks in Mexico. Hopefully will strengthen the Waha gas market.

Flaring in the Permian is declining. Industry has gotten proactive in publicizing the declines and getting the RRC to revise flaring regulations, because massive flaring is not a good look for anyone.
