I found the best way to get another landman interested is to show up at the county records office and let them know you are a mineral rights owner. When I was checking family records there were at least 4 teams and several individuals looking for unsecured mineral rights in Fisher County where I have my property. They were all interested and I had a few offers (all better than the one I had been sent). I have a feeling that all I would have to do to get them interested is sit on the Court House steps with a cardboard sign around my neck stating “WILL LEASE FOR BETTER OFFER.” And I have nothing but praise for Wilson’s advice.
