Latest spreadsheet update… plus the pdf file that shows a Township/Range per page. Sections in purple indicate that at least one lease was filed in the past 3 years.
We have a 16.666 acre interest in 27 6N 5W. I see the Sparks well is there, how would I find out if it’s drawing from our property? Jackford offered us $4500 per acre last year but we kept it.
I have been doing some evaluation in this area and have a simple question I hope. How does the revenue sharing go from where a drill hits? What is the area for the distribution of the well production and how does it compare if your specific acreage was not the actual site of the well?
Georgia Sue, here is a link to the spacing order and associated documents for the 1st horizontal Sparks well… http://imaging.occeweb.com/IMAGING/OAP.ASPX?casenum=201105814&casetype=CD and yes Continental has filed applications to drill a multiunit horizontal well in Sections 22 and 27. You should be getting copies of these applications, because your 16.666 acre interest should be included. An offer of $4,500 per acre is way way way too low. Glad you kept it. The way that first Sparks well came in $4,500/acre should be the lease amount.
James, if your acreage is in the section being drilled then you get your pro-rated share. Example: You own 1 acre… divided by 640 acres… times .1875 (3/16 royalty interest)… equals 0.00029297… well produces 200 bbl oil per day @ $95 and 2,000 gas MCFd @ $4… monthly check will be about $220… here is a link with more information about spacing… http://www.occ.state.ok.us/ap/spacing.html
Here is a copy of an Excel file I use when estimating what a well will pay the royalty owner… I got it from over on the Stephens County Discussion Group…
I have added a second tab to the spreadsheet called “Leases by Township-Range”. It has the number of oil and gas leases (15, 163) recorded at the Grady County Clerk’s Office from 1-2011 through 12-2013 (3 years) by township and range. There have been 238 new leases filed county-wide so far in 2014. The lease numbers were not reviewed for duplicates. Filter (instrument type) was for “Oil and Gas Lease” only.
Hello all. I am brand new and hoping someone can help me understand some of the terminology. Can someone explain what the information means from the Jobe wells located at H/31 on the spreadsheet? Jobe 31-2H and Jobe 31-3H. Thank you for any assistance.
In cell location H/31 you are looking at the information for Section 31-Township 6 North - Range 7 West.
The first well listed is the Jobe 31-2H. The information following that well is information taken from the Completion Report, like the date the well was tested (Aug 5, 2013), the well operator (EOG), the formation completed (Hoxbar), the barrels of oil per day (1551 Bopd), the gas per day (658 Gas MCFd), whether the well was pumping or flowing (Flowing), and the choke size used (13/64).
The second well listed is the Jobe 31-3H with its information - 10/25/2013 EOG / Hoxbar 330 Bopd 2650 Gas MCFd Flowing 53/64.
The third and fourth wells are listed as - Scott Trust 31-5H Spud: 1/27/2014 Badgett 31-4H Spud: 12/18/2013
There was a 5th well that originally began as a test well. The Jobe 31-1 is not listed because it was a straight hole well, not a horizontal well.
You should be receiving royalties in the next couple days on the Jobe’s. We’re looking forward to seeing what the Badgett & Scott Trust does too! Things are looking up
Thank you for all your work, I can’t tell you how much I love your maps! So much info, so helpful. Are you related to the Ken Bray I graduated with in Lindsay!?
When asked if we were related to the Brays in Lindsay, Grandpa would always say we were not related to them. With 7 grandkids he got asked that question more than once.
