How would I check to see about any activity on James Gorman A-285 Harrison County, Texas? We have a five-year lease to Sendero Resources Inc. for the account of BP America of 66.82 acres. We’ve not received any royalty, so assume no activity, but don’t know how to check. Also, one of the parties on the lease has died. Any advice as to how to proceed for ownership transfer? Thanks, Mary Ann Johnson.
Hello Mary,
I see where several horizontal gas wells have been drilled around you to the West, South, and East. Those wells were drilled in 2012-13-14. The latest activity was a horizontal well (API 203-35209) completed in July 2014 to the south of you. Completion report showed 1,305,000 MCF gas. Production is from the Cotton Valley Sand. Another well (API 203-35205) was drilled about 1 1/2 mi. to the west of you and was completed in June 2014. Completion report showed 1,963,000 MCF gas per day. Link to completion report:

Clint, thanks so much for your information. If I’m understanding, it appears there has been
nothing drilling completed on the area we have the lease.
That’s correct Mary. But you are in a very good location for future production from the Cotton Valley Sand Formation.
That would be nice. We’ve never gotten any royalties on either lease we have had. This was from some mineral rights my grandfather got years ago. The current lease is up 3-12-17 so if not in this one, maybe later on.
Appreciate your help
Mary Ann
