I have numerous mineral rights in TX, CO, KS. These were inherited from my grandmother or my mom. Im trying to get my affairs in order for my son but hitting roadblocks! My grandmothers properties were in a Trust and then passed to her three grands. My mother gave me all of her properties via Gift Deed and Assignment, prior to her passing. I have all the recorded copies of those deeds from various counties. My grandmother’s trust took care of notification with her will after the Trust ended. The attorney’s Ive spoken with are wanting my conveyance instruments or deeds to the properties. Ive done some research but am overwhelmed! Am I going to have to hire a landman to research these properties? Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
