Finding mineral deeds etc

Hi, my family owns some mineral rights in Mitchell County, and I am supposed to be distributing them shortly. I am wondering what is the best way to find out what we have, and if it has been divided recently. Thanks. Also, if we sell these outright, I am wondering who the best company is to sell to.
