Fayette and Lavaca County TX Oil Activity

That’s probably gas that got infused in the mud while drilling. When it circulated back out the pressure dropped and the gas dissipated and is being flared off.

Yes I agree was the same thing happening at Capital Star. I went and sat waiting in pasture for full moon to be over rig but the lights on top of rig was to bright. The flame was burning very bright when they stopped to add another drill pipe but when starting to drill flame went out.

Haven’t had a chance to drive by yet but last night and this morning in the deer stand I can hear the rig running. Sounded like a fair bit of truck traffic last night too. I’ll try to snap some pictures mid-morning.

There was another offer to purchase mineral rights in the mailbox today. Very sketchy on details, no price given, amount of acreage etc. Rock House Rrsources, Ft. Worth

Expects a lot more. These groups are dropping the hooks into chummed waters hoping for an easy catch

William1 Did walk by pecan pad this morning looks like drill pipe going on the ground. Did see 2 flat bed trucks loaded with drill mud leaving pecan pad. Looks like 11 days Resiner is finished drilling we’ll go check and see when the lateral casing we’ll be going in. Lots of truck traffic this evening biggest pole truck and big fork lift plus a lot of boom sections and Crain weights went by also.

William1 I made it just in time to see the first casing going down the hole for Resiner. Think this well is in record speed are they knew were to go after Monster Rock. That well was drill pipe up one day down the next.

Thanks for sharing, I didn’t get to drive by but definitely heard the rig running.

Pecan pad Rig #1205 is leaving the site today. Spoke with person driving one of the “wide load” tucks and they said the rig is going to “the other side of Yoakum”…

I saw some of the equipment moving this morning west bound on FM 532 towards FM 1295…not sure if it turned south or kept west towards US 95….that is why I headed over there….

I have to make some calls about this, either way Milton is correct….6 weeks to drill Monster and 12 days total on Resiner is a huge difference…

Yes very busy pecan pad it’s unbelievable how many tanker trucks my guess over 30/40 just wondering if any got any oil. They could be draining frack tanks. Faircloth county commissioner was checking cameras trucks going on load zone bridges. Seen 2 DPS TROOPS checking some trucks.

Rockman may have mentioned this previously but EOG could have drilled the vertical sections on both wells first, then drilled the lateral on each well. Since the locations are so close, it may not have been obvious that the rig was moving back and forth. That is what I would assume, so the disparity between drill times may not actually be the case.

I agree, over 3 weeks ago I mentioned on this blog that the rig was over remiers, but someone here said I was not correct. My source on that info is usually 100% accurate…so now I am going to stick to that …this was not a 1 week drill on Remiers.

Yes the rig never moved between the 2 wells. Iam retired spend a lot of time at location every day. It only moved Halloween morning early. Started drilling around noon. The rig had all the drill pipe from Monster Rock on rig. That helped to save time adding drill pipe. This also helped to know were the correct zone to drill in the right location. From Monster Rock they lost 4 days with Halliburton, taking ore samples to be drilling in the right zone.

EOG has no permits by Yoakum, and nothing at all in Dewitt county……so maybe Gonzales county ? they still have the 1 rig there . I know someone on this site can track down the rigs so maybe they can help. I am going down to EOG Maddox unit Thursday to see what is going on with those new 4 units.

Hopefully rig #1205 is not going to far away from us…rig 1209 is going to the new 4well/4unit pad around 12/1 and will be there until March 1st….so we need another rig in this neck of the woods…

FYI— still hearing multiple issues with tracts not getting leased…we see that in Maddox and Chapman…but what I am hearing is that some of the other prospective units are even worse….I guess people are holding out for huge dollars….

FYI - today Baytex announced that they had sold their Texas assets to an “undisclosed buyer” for $2.9 Billion

On this casing run on the Resiner, could you tell if it was intermediate casing (9.625”) or production casing at the end of the lateral (or 5.5” casing)?

Has anyone seen any pipeline activity lately? I heard rumblings of a huge (by my experience, at least) line being installed/planning to be installed. If true, that would certainly point to EOG’s interest in the area.

Furthermore, as many have noted, mineral buyers are coming out in droves, so if I am being optimistic, we may have something real here boys and girls.

Did those pipeline rumblings semi-indicate the location? The DCP Gathering pipeline runs through my place so I’m interested.

From what I understand it wouldn’t be DCP’s line, it would be a gathering line from the Pecan farm location(s) but I cannot say for certain. That’s why I was curious if anyone had seen any activity. In reality, any gathering lines likely won’t be laid until EOG gets closer to completing the wells.

I heard 6” but 5.5 at the end sounds close enough.
