Fayette and Lavaca County TX Oil Activity

And another Parr update…different day, different outlook…so today they have lined up 12 Frac Tanks on the pad, Blackshear only had 8. Flowback should start soon….now expectations are high…lets all hope…but of course oil at $58 today…

Great opportunity for a new player in this trend.

Good Intel MR-ML, thanks for sharing….

Nice pic, especially beautiful house on top of the hill

Up date on Capital Star went by yesterday Big E rig already had second flair burning not sure if they finished drilling yet. That’s off FM318.

Look like monster rock pecan pad must have finished iam no expert but laying drill pipe next to were next hole we’ll be. Iam sure casing coming next before rig moves. Could be a dry hole.

The FM 318 well by capital Star should be the Lanik unit. The first well had really good results, and is close to the EOG Francis pad about 2 miles…the SE unit off the Francis pad borders the Lanik unit. Looks like this well # 2 is also a winner….it has a horizontal drill, but not sure if it is a Chalk or EF well….looks like Chalk.

Milton—- why do you think it was a dry hole ? did you hear anything ? , even a whisper ?

They are not going to do any frac’s until both wells are drilled out…the next one going to the NW….which EOG was more upbeat about…something about reservoir thinning towards the east…something about a lot of “sands” on the eastern side….whatever that means…

MR-ML just going by what I see at Capital Star big gas burn off rig still on location not fracked yet.

Funny thing late late evening was hearing booming over tv taught rig blowing up. I ran out side saw some 4 wheelers must of had boom box’s funny somebody.well need hearing aids some day.

Flaring gas while drilling can be a normally operation. This happens a lot when there are natural fractures (gas charged) in the formation that is being drilled. The gas becomes entrained in the drilling mud as it comes to the surface. The mud runs through a “gas buster” that essentially frees up the gas - which is then directed to a flare stack and burned via a flow line.

Absolutely necessary operation for safety reasons.

Side note - farther updip / NE, this same scenario has taken place in the past in the oil rich part of the Austin Chalk with oil being captured from the drilling mud while well is drilling. In some cases, thousands of BO were produced while well was still be drilled.

Parr update— Monday at noon they restarted Blackshear after down 3-4 weeks. then later they stated flowback on Parr which is continuing. However, the amount of trucks carrying any type of liquids is a small fraction of what Blackshear had. No lined up trucks, just 1-2 on site at all times. Land owner in Parr told me today that there were only a few trucks on hand since flowback started….seems very quiet there today…so….

Anyway, they ARE getting ready to announce the 2 new units going south of Blackshear and Parr coming off the Blackshear pad…the one right under Parr will be called “Andrew”…so I have been told…forgot the other name of the 4th unit. EOG/Redhawk have 3 pads to complete (between Blackshear and Francis pads)which each will have 4 units attached to the pad…these are being worked on now as far as location, but unsure when they will be ready for a rig ….I have been told…and to get a pipeline to them.

Looks like for now Pecan farm Rig 1205 going back to central Texas in 3 weeks, and rig 1209 from Francis pad to go to Blackshear pad around Thanksgiving to drill out the next 2 wells.

If they can get one of the 3 pads completed in time they “might” keep rig 1205 . In that case rig 1205 to Blackshear for 2 well drill out, and Francis pad rig 1209 to go just a little north for EOG.

We shall see what will happen.

The northern units above Parr/Blackshear are “under consideration” I was told.

Any word on if they will drill the Reimers well after finishing the Monster Unit well?

Won’t they need to keep 1205 on Pecan Farm for well #2 (Riemer) drill out to the North?

High probability of that happening - most cost-effective way to handle these drilling operations

Right, I agree. Wouldn’t make sense to demob the rig

I must have missed something here…..I was told they are working on Reimers now….and they will be done with rig 1205 in 3 weeks (when Reimers is done). Has someone heard something different than what I stated in my last post ?

I know the well logs for Monster were not favorable or as I was told “did not meet expectations”, but I was told they are doing Reimers to see what the conditions are to the west since they already have the setup….but if someone knows anything different that came from a credible source then please share…

So it looks like the Parr well released about 25% of the water compared to the Blackshear unit over a 3 day period of time….. does anyone know why this would be the case ? Halliburton did the Parr unit, not sure who fracked the Blackshear, but the Blackshear had those tall silos…does this take more water ? Also does anyone know about slickwater fracks and is this anything that EOG uses ? thanks

The contractor for fracking Blackshear was Flying A Pumping Service. I don’t know if that’s good or bad but their area of operations is nowhere close to here.

I have not heard anything, I was just clarifying your previous post about the rig move after the Monster, but sounds like they will drill the Reimers then release the rig/move it elsewhere.

I have to say, I don’t love hearing the well logs didn’t look good on the Monster- hopefully the Reimers is better!

I was looking at a pic I did Oct 1 and took one today from the same spot at pecan pad looks like rig is in same spot. Don’t know what’s going on drill pipe in right back out than about 12 vacuum trucks came and left. Halliburton was logging well but didn’t find out anything.
