Fayette and Lavaca County TX Oil Activity

The 4 new EOG permits matches the “maps”, but the pad location has changed. This change is due to unleased/partially unleased tracts in a couple of the units. What this leaves is just 2 units north of the Francis pad instead of 4…so they will now have to add an additional pad, which they would have done anyway when they drill all 3-4 wells per unit. This might also change the northern units going up to and including the Redhawk units as far as pad placement. Really surprised EOG is having so much trouble getting leases done. I have friends who sold minerals off of FM 340 to a “Coates”, now in Maddox unit that did lease with EOG before selling…these are included in the unit, but 2 other tracts sold to “Coates” are holdouts..the previous mineral owner had not leased yet with EOG before sale…now the mineral company is holding out for serious money….
