When you sell inherited property and the minerals, what are the Taxes implications?

did anyone answer you about your question of "what does 1/3 of the West Half mean?
This is a property description. !/3 of W2 means one third of the west half of a section of land, which would normally contain 640 acres. 1/3 of the W2 would contain approximately 106.67 acres.
W/2 of what? section?, 300 acres?, 1/4 section? etc.?. Must have missed a post. If so, pardon my ignorance.
