Casillas has had continuances for nearly 2 years trying drill in my section 8 . Ovintiv has my lease now but they are selling out to mid con. Any feeling if there is a resolution and if a final order will be issued at the 3-30-26 hearing so drilling activities can final begin?

Casillas was bought by Validus, so that slowed things down as a different portfolio was added into the mix. Some former Casillas projects are moving ahead now.
The Ovintiv merger does not finalize until about May. I am seeing an uptick in Ovintiv filings, so you will just have to wait and see if your case keeps moving through the OCC.
It looks like Eckard Energy may be taking on Ovintiv’s position in McClain County. Casillas has been kicking the can on several prospects waiting on something.

2024-001672 for Casillas for the March 30 hearing. 2025-000715 Ovintiv older one, same concept for horizontal wells. Probably two of them.
