Beckham County OK Oil & Gas Permits

Thanks Clint for keeping everyone so informed… the link above is to my lease 15-9-22. I’ve been concerned with the price crash, feels good to see a permit.

Congratulations Mike. I like the scenario; there are several formations to check. Good luck on your well.

So far good news, even with low oil prices they’ve drilled the well, hole is complete! “YAY” Talked with the landman yesterday and in the next two weeks they’ll begin testing for viability. Should know more in a couple of weeks. All good news.

NOTICE TO ALL BECKHAM COUNTY OKLAHOMA MINERAL/ROYALTY/PROPERTY OWNERS

To all the fine folks that have been checking for Drilling Permits, Notification of Well Spuds, Completions, etc. that I have been posting every day, after today, April 17, 2015 I will no longer be posting for Beckham County. Mr. Tim West and his fine crew with www.okenergytoday.com newsletter will take over and be posting for all Oklahoma Counties in the future beginning on April 21, 2015. This will take some of the pressure off me and I can direct more time to my Texas counties oil and gas activities, etc.

Thanks Tim…

In the future this information will be found in the Forum section on OK Energy Today at www.okenergytoday.com. It can be found on the left side of the page. When you get into the Forum, simply sign up just like you did for this site, and the counties will be listed in a similar fashion as they are here. The Permits to Drill and Completion Reports are found on a button on the left side of the page also, and will have daily reports the day after they are posted on the OCC website. Listed on the new info is a Google map showing the location of each well, as well as the API form.

We have 160 acres in Beckham County, spanning two sections in Township 9 North Range 22 West. We signed a lowball lease in October 2014 for 80 acres, a hole was drilled in March 2015 and we were told it looked like a viable hole and they were moving forward to complete. A month and a half ago when checking in with the land man we were told that the exploration company had tried two attempts to complete and said both were too tight. During that discussion we were told that they would make a third attempt within the next two weeks. Also during the discussion the land man mentioned that they were interested in leasing the remaining 80 acres at the same very low ball lease. We’ve not received any lease offers yet and upon speaking with the land man last week he said that the exploration company has asked him to not divulge any more information with the mineral holders, leaving us to feel left in the dark. I’m just guessing but my thoughts are that they don’t want a competitor to swoop in on their find and get the other adjacent 80 acres. Has anyone experienced this? Any knowledge or experiences would be appreciated.
