I own minerals in Sections 18 & 19, Block 44, Township 2 South, Ector County, Texas. Anyone have insights into activity and any current (April 2026) leasing occurring in that area? Names of companies working the area, bonus amounts (being offered and what the mineral owner should be receiving), royalty amounts, term length of lease offers, etc? Thanks for any help and information !
This link will open the Texas RRC GIS Map Viewer on a well in the NE corner of Sec 18. Note the section which shares your east section line has eight horizontal wells. This suggests your minerals might also support multiple horizontal wells being drilled in a section. Perhaps others can weigh in with information more responsive to your questions.

Most mineral owners would want a 25% royalty lease with no post production charges and a three year lease with no option to renew. If your name and address are properly filed in the county courthouse with title documents such as deeds or probates, the leasing agents will find you. Good idea to get a good oil and gas attorney to review any draft lease as most will need significant edits.
