Any new wells in Caddo County, OK

Curious if any new wells in or around Caddo County, OK, township 2, 09N, 09W in the near future. Or where can I look to find this info.

Thanks for any information. I’m new to all this as we inherited these mineral rights.

There is active leasing in that section by Black Diamond and Classic Resources. There are permits moving into the township. A new one for a horizontal well in 21,28,33.

If you are new owners, make sure that your probate or title work are filed in the county courthouse in Caddo along with your correct address so landmen can find you.

We have mineral rights in 17-10N-9W. Are there any wells past or present in this section? Where would I look to find this information?

Probate was done a few years ago, but we just started receiving lease offers lately and signed with Black Diamond. Now we wait to see if anything will happen.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

There are three old wells that are finished. There is some new leasing in the section. Looks like horizontal wells may be creeping there way closer to this township.

We are considering a lease with OKKI Energy. The contact is Greg Albright. We leased thru Greg with Blue Ribbon in 2017. He is willing to help us get some recently inherited shares for some family members registered in the county records. I can’t tell you too many times, how grateful I am for this site! You and everyone else on here is so patient, no matter how dumb my questions seem!! Thank you, again!

Hello everyone, I’m new to the forum. I wanted to find out some information about mineral rights I own in 20-08N-10W. Is there is any pass present or future Wells or permits. I recently received an Email letter/offer from a Landman to lease or buy the mineral rights in that area from Heller oil Inc. I also received a call from another company spring rock mineral also interested. Anyone else receive such offers? Any info is highly appreciated. Thanks Everyone

Hi Freddy, There is future activity in your section. Coterra Energy (a publicly traded company) has a well proposed going through your section. You should expect a well permit within the next few months, and a producing well likely in the next 12 months or so. They are targeting the Deese formation, but Continental Resources in the same area is targeting mostly the Woodford formation. So your section definitely has a lot of potential for future development. I’m sure you will receive many letters in the coming weeks from buyers looking to buy your interest. Depending on the offer, many times you come out better off if you hold out and receive the royalty payments over the coming decades. Sometimes in more “frontier” areas like this, buyers will be too aggressive and overpay. At the end of the day, the decision is personal as well as financial on choosing to keep your minerals or part with them. I always advise talking with a professional before accepting any offers to truly make sure you are getting maximum value if that is the route you choose. Have a great day!
