I receive royalty payments from oil and gas in Tyler County, West Virginia. Do I pay a West Virginia state tax on the royalty payments?

Funny you should ask. I live across the country and just finished up my West Virginia taxes today. You do need to pay state taxes to West Virginia but what you pay will be offset by your home state, most likely.
