# WV application for Pooling & Unitization of Horizontal Well Operation

We have our property in Lease with Shenandoah. Received two of these Applications for Pooling & Utilization of Horizontal Well Operations from Antero. Can someone explain to me what this means and if I need to hire counsel to protect our interests? Thank you for your time.

You are being notified that a mineral tract that you have an interest in is contained within a proposed Well Unit that is going through the Unitization process (aka Forced Pooling) through the WV Oil & Gas Commission. You can find the application on their website. Since you say you are already leased, you will be paid according to your lease terms once production begins. All interested parties are required to be notified of the hearing.
