I was approached about waiving my surface rights to a company that’s looking to put in a solar farm in northwest Limestone County. What’s the going rate for something like that?

If you own the minerals and it is a large tract, then it is possible that giving precedence to the solar farm could impair drilling. There have been discussions on this site about the various concerns and issues which you can read. For example, what other use do you have for the surface and how can you ensure that all the installations are removed. The terms of written agreement are important and it is best to have an attorney experienced with solar law help advise you.
