# Vanna Production - Not Leasing For Mitsui?

Sabana Royalty Partners/Vanna Production sold a 46,500 net acre position in Leon and Freestone Counties to Mitsui last year. As part of that deal, Vanna retained a 25% working interest arrangement with Mitsui.
Since that sale, Vanna has done extensive new leasing in Leon, Freestone, and Anderson Counties. Based on documents recorded to date, the estimated gross acreage is shown below:
Freestone: 8,000
Leon: 12,000
Anderson: 47,000
Total gross acres: 67,000
I had assumed that Vanna has continued to lease for Mitsui, given their working interest deal. However, I have heard that my assumption may not be correct, and that Vanna may be shopping their new leasing. Potential buyers could include Mitsui, Expand, Mitsubishi, and other companies interested in getting into the Western Haynesville play.
Will be interesting to see if this turns out to be true.
