Is anyone buying producing minerals in Wise County, Texas? Is there a value range?

Shelley, I’m sure the moderators of this forum will tell you to move this discussion into the Marketplace section of the forum. But to answer your question, there are a few groups still buying in Wise County, however considering the Barnett play is essentially “played-out” the buyers are far and few between due to the fact that the majority of the buyers are focusing on Delaware/Permian and Eagle Ford basins at the moment.

Typically buyers “value” producing minerals by offering a multiple of monthly royalty amount. An example of this would be if you make $1,000/month on your producing minerals, they might offer you 72 months worth of that $1,000/month in a lump sum payment of $72,000.
