# Validus Emerald City Deese Oil Well

Does anyone have info on the 2 Emerald City wells? I understand they are drilling the 2nd well from the pad and will frac soon. The results of these wells will affect drilling of the Wicked Witch wells in Section 25 8N 4W McClain County. Validus has drilling rights in the south side of Section 25 while Continental Resouces has the north half. They agreed to split Section 25. Validus drilling south and Continental will drill north. Validus intends to drill the Wicked Witch ASAP, likely Nov - Dec 2026.

I would be very interested about the results of Validus Midcons completion information about the 2 Emerald City Wells. Are these completions in the Deese formation?
I own a significant royalty interest in Sec. 34 T8N R4W. Validus is drilling in the next few months/1st qtr. of 2027 a deese formation HZ well including all of my Section 34 and N/2 of Sec. 3 T7N R4W. Any information would be much appreciated.

The Emerald City 6HO and 5HO wells are permitted for sec 8-7N-3W and go south into sections 8 17, 20 for the Deese formation. They have a well onsite. 5HO was spud 9/15/26 and 6HO was spud 9/16/26. It will generally take about four-five months to drill and complete. You can watch for the frac on [www.fracfocus.org](http://www.fracfocus.org). That is a clue that the well is finished without waiting for the posting on the OCC four months after that.

The Wicked Witch wells are permitted in 25-8N-4W and go south into 25/36-8N-4W and into 1-7N-4W -for the Deese. The surface locations are about four miles apart. So time will tell when/if these are drilled. The Deese has been penetrated nearby as you can see on the maps.

You will have to wait a few months for the information to post. You will be able to find the completions on the OCC well records site about four months after completion.
