I own a fractional interest in 11 acres located next to the purportedly “the largest producing gas well in Chambers County history.” Ballard Drilling leased my property mineral rights and spoke of massive royalties. They paid the lease amount @$6,000 and stopped returning my calls. How do I find out if I’ve been due royalties all these years? Richard Koenig

It all depends on your oil and gas lease. Most oil companies start royalty payments by 4 months.
