I was curious if anyone has insights as to what the fair market value would be for Section 6 Block 3. I know some parts of the county are getting around $600 per acre but I have heard in some areas the numbers are in the $450 range. Does anyone have deeper knowledge as to the reality? I am just trying to be smart and not settle for less than fair market value. I have rights in two sections. Should I do a separate lease for each to limit the potential for pooling locking the rights up for eons? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dennis.

Always do a separate lease for each property.

Thank you for your reply. I am just trying to learn. Do you know anything about fair market value per acre? Should it be pretty consistent across Dawson County or are there areas where values are less? I appreciate your input.

Leasing values will depend upon the geology of the reservoirs and their perceived value and may vary across the county. I do not know the reservoirs in Dawson. Perhaps a local person can shed some light.
