Hello all: Vitruvian received a permit to drill in the above section on 1/22/2014. Does anyone know if they have started drilling yet? Thanks in advance.

The well, Vinson 1-22H, was spud 2/13/2014. The surface location is in Section 27; however, the producing interval of the horizontal lateral will be in Section 22. The mineral owners in Section 22 will receive royalty payments; the owners in Section 27 will not.

I’m brand new, here; but have learned SO MUCH - you guys are great. My 86-year old Mom recently deeded her mineral interests to me and I am doing my best to figure out about my holes in the ground. I have a 1991 Division Order for SW/4 of Sec. 22-3N-5W, w/royalty interest fully described. I know nothing has been deeded or sold since then. Will it pay all owners in Sec. 22, or a limited acreage? Have D.O.'s for Vinson been distributed?

Sorry for hijacking your question, Michael. I, too, wish my Dad were alive. He was managing all of this for himself and his 2 sisters until his death. Dang. He died on New Year’s Day, 1985. And he was not old, by any means—61. I have learned a LOT by reading through this forum.
