Anyone know if Concho is drilling on this property?

I thought they were scheduled to drill but don’t know if they have begun. Thanks.

Jenelle,

I find the approved drilling permit but I don’t see a spud report (begin drilling notification).

COG (Concho Oil and Gas) has some very good oil/gas wells in that surrounding area. And from what I hear they are an outstanding company to do business with. Good luck with your minerals.

Well spud on March 25, 2017. To find this information, you have to go onto RRC site; select oil & gas data query; and then drilling permit W-1 query. You can select Ward County, COG as start of operator and what as start of Whatcha Want well name. When page opens, select well name. The W-1 page opens and one top line is Completion Information. This line only appears if drilling has started for a well. COG has not submitted completion report so the well may not yet be fracked.

Thanks TennisDaze for the update. I generally get the spud notification from the top of the approved drilling permit. Thanks for the explanation.

From the details in DrillingInfo, it appears the COG used one rig to drill surface hole to kick off point and then brought in a second and different rig to drill the horizontal. Good efficiency and cost savings here if done correctly.
