Patricia, last time I checked I did not see any current leases in your section, or the 8 contiguous (touching) sections. There is some leasing going on a little farther north of you. You might want to call Echo Energy, Oil Valley Petroleum, LLC, or others (like Jackfork, Striker, BlueStar, etc.) and see if they might have an interest in leasing your section.

I have minerals in Township 17-3N-6W and was approached by Oil Valley Petroleum to lease at $151 per acre, 12% (1/8) interest. I thought that was a bit low and declined their offer.

Thanks for the info. I agree, that offer was too low. Better things should be on the horizon. Patience is the key.
