I have royalties in Wood County, Texas also and the school taxes are outrageous. Is there a way to do a rendition of the property and lower the taxes? Of any county?

County ad valorem taxes (of which “school taxes” are one part of) are established as of Jan. 1st of each year. Thus the timing of this market meltdown is going to make this year particularly egregious!

There are going to be lots of protests (and should be). Remember, there is a time limit to when you can get your protest on file.
