# San Patricio County: a large oil pipeline coming through Taft?

Last year we read about a large new pipeline coming through or near San Patricio County (Seat: Sinton), from a gas field in Texas’ NW, headed for Corpus Christi.
Along those lines, we’ve ceased getting cash offers for our property. They were prolific, all over the place, for the last several years, and nice to receive as an emotional backstop should our other financial resources diminish. Now they’ve stopped completely. Is that a function of changes in ownership back in Texas that we should be aware of, or of the fluctuating petroleum market? Thanks for your advice. Bob

The line has been laid through Duval County as of several months ago. What its current status is, I do not know. The line is a 42" line named the Gulf Coast Express.

There is also a twin to the GCX. Operated by Whistler. 42" line as well.
They have not begun surveying yet. Due to be laid beginning January 2020.
