I have just been approached by Red Sky Land about my mineral rights in Wetzel County. Has anyone heard of or dealt with this company?

I’ve heard the name, but I haven’t dealt with them. Keep us updated as to how things go. Are they asking for a lease or a mod or pipeline right of way?

not quite sure at this time they are sending me paperwork to look at haven’t received it yet will let you all know once I get it

Looks like RedSky Land is a company based out of Edmond, OK. They’ve done work for Chesapeake in the past. They could be doing work for Aubrey McClendon’s new outfit, American Energy Partners. If so, the paperwork will probably be in the name of American Energy - Marcellus. Chesapeake sold off all their holdings in the northern panhandle to Southwestern Energy, so it’s unlikely that it’s Chesapeake. Let me know if my guesswork is accurate.

You are correct. It does have American Energy - Marcellus.
