I received a call from this company wanting to lease some rights we have. They were originally leased to Continental Resources and now have a couple of wells on two sections so those are out of play but the other leases expire this month. Does anybody know anything about Red Hawk Energy? I was told by the Landman that contacted me they have acquired all Weld County leases that were held by Continental Resources. Any info would be great.

Our Continental lease was expiring but had an option to extend for one more year. We just accepted their renewal of our remaining section and within a week they applied for a permit to drill 4 wells. Our remaining lease only has one year left so they had to hurry but they seem to be motivated. I don’t know anything about them.

Jake, I did a little research after my post. All of Continental’s Weld County rights and wells were recently purchased by Pacific Energy Development Company (Pedevco Corp). Red Hawk Petroleum is a newly formed subsidiary of Pedevco. Our lease expires in 5 days so we are now in negotiations with Red Hawk. I know nothing about Pedevco except what I read on their website. Was it Continental that applied for the permit? Good to hear from someone that worked with Continental also.
