As the previous thread had been locked, a statement and a question. Just received another Order of the Commission dated March 10, re: ALMA 1 wherein it appears that the well, originally set to terminate in Section 24, now appears to have been terminated in Section 13 and does not extend into Section 24 with the completion approximately 50% Section 12 50% Section 13. From reading the locked thread, it was noted that the well had gone ‘active’ as of May 2022. Does this mean that it has been producing but they have just now determined definitively where the pay zones are located? And, if so, this is why the delay in the Division Order? So the Division Order should be forthcoming shortly? Thanks in advance. Getting a real education here.

Some of the three section horizontal wells do not go the entire length due to various reasons such as a fault, mechanical problems, etc. The Division Orders were waiting on the splits from the borehole survey before they can mail out the letters to the owners in the sections that have perforations. (Survey was done in March 2022, so not sure why the delay except that there are hundreds of owners and the division order title opinion may have taken many months.) The royalties have been accruing for those folks. If you are in 12 or 13, then you should expect a DO soon. You should also demand the interest payment since the payments are past the 180 day limit. First sales were 6/29/22 according to the completion report. Send your request by certified mail return receipt.

@M_Barnes how do I locate the completion report? Or the Order of the Commission mentioned above? None of my cause numbers locate those? Thanks

As always, thanks so much. Two things - 1. These screenshots showing the sites are a great help. Is there a place/Table that has a list of the ‘codes/forms’ most commonly used? You mention Form 1002 being the completion report. Previously I saw you or someone mention the forms for ‘Spud Date’ and ‘Completion Date’. 2. In your reply, you say the delay in getting out the Division Orders is/was in part due to the number of mineral owners as much as anything. I take it that the Division Orders have NOT gone out yet on the ALMA 1-12H13x24? Members of my family have minerals in Section 12 and in Section 1 Township 8S Range 2E, so are also watching The Cowman.

The well is listed as an oil well, so one would expect oil with associated gas. The OTC is the better place to search for the production, not the OCC. Take the PUN from the upper left corner of the completion report and put it into the spot for it. [https://oktap.tax.ok.gov/oktap/web/\_/](https://oktap.tax.ok.gov/oktap/web/_/) Scroll down to the PUN search in the HELP area. (You do not need to create an ID)
 Click on the blue PUN number. Go to the production tab.
Form 1000-permit Form 1001A spud, 1002A completion, 1003 P&A, 1073 change of operator.

The DO’s for the ALMA 1 have gone out from XTO, just received ours Friday. We are brand new to this so are wondering about the ‘decimal interest’ as there is no mention of our Net Mineral Acres. I found the formula used but want to be certain I am using it correctly as I am coming up with a slightly different decimal interest. For example: NMA (3) divided by Drilling Unit Acres (in this case 1280 acres Sec 12 and 13) X royalty rate 3/16 or .1875. Thanks in advance for confirmation.

You have to make sure it is a 1280 ac unit and NOT two 640 acre units. If two 640 ac units, there will be a percentage associated with each Section that represents the percentage of wellbore perforations in each Section as to the whole wellbore.

Ah!! In this case, 50.56 S12 and 49.44 S13. We’re in 12 so how is this figured into the equation? 50.56 of 1280a??

Your acreage/640 X royalty X 50.56%. You don’t own in Section 13 so there is no 1280 acre unit.
Example: 3 acres/640.00 X 0.1875 X .5056= 0.0004443 net revenue interest.

Could anyone help explain this Oklahoma Mineral Interest Deed? Is this deed for 100 net mineral acres or for the minerals under 100 acres of the 281 acres in the surface description? Thanks for any help.
