# Ratified Pooling Agreements

I ratified a pooling agreement (non participating royalty interest) with Operator A in a 640 acre unit. Operator B drills and completes a well within this 640 acre unit. Should Operator B be required to pay royalties?

Dear Mr. Gross,

Let’s say Operator A has 1/2 and Company B had 1/2 the well. B could sell their gas to whomever they wanted, as could Operator A. That is a simple explanation of split-stream production.
