# Question about production payment agreements

Hi Mineral Rights Forum,

My family owns mineral rights in Crane County and going through documents I found that some of the interests were sold with the contingency of $250,000.00 in production payments being made.

There is no publicly filed release and I’m unsure of how to verify that the production payment was satisfied. If it wasn’t completed, would ownership default back?

Can anyone help to demystify this or point me in the direction of someone who can?
